Photos of Singapore General Hospital and doctors stolen to sell drugs
(Morning Post) Singapore General Hospital's logo and photos of doctors have been stolen to advertise medicines for joint pain. The hospital clarified in its Facebook page and called on the public to be vigilant when buying health products online.
Singapore General Hospital said it was aware of the misappropriation of photos of hospitals and doctors and advertising on Facebook.
The hospital issued a Facebook post on Monday (December 19) saying that under the Medical Services Act, Singapore General Hospital, as a public hospital, is not allowed to promote or endorse any brands and products.
In a post, Singapore General Hospital advised the public who buy health products online to check with their doctor whether they are suitable for using such products, not to buy products from unfamiliar or suspicious sources, and not to be deceived by false advertising.
